There are reasons both legal and personal that the exzact goals of Bereth have not been clearly published. For some reason it does feel like I should at least unviel them in a general fashion. In the end if I achieve them they will be things that will effect all people. For that reason doing all I can to make sure that the projects and concepts are GPL is critical. My avoidance of all things financial, legal, and social are definate impediments to my goals.
If you read between the lines of the various vision statements dispersed on this board you will understand that at the root of this obsession is a vision of a perfect data object. One that is infinate in storage and functionality from the sub-atomic to the gallactic and beyond.
Beyond this the development of a OS distribution methodology that opens clustering power to the common man. Theoretically all these home PC's can out proccess even the mightiest of Corporations.
Tying both of these goals together is a new protocol that finally allows for actually moving through the data stream via a real-time graphical interface.
I have been on this quest since my first BBS (Dune BBS) in the mid 80's. I don't know how far I will get, nor do I really have the ability to walk away from them. I see so many great things so clearly, I have no choice but to do the best I can to at the least try to walk down that road.
